I met Dr. Peter on my first trip to Uganda over 20 years ago, when his dream of training healthcare professionals was just a seed.
A few years later, young Stuart arrived at Mustard Seed Primary School after his father’s death.
Through countless obstacles, Stuart pursued his education all the way to earning his midwifery degree. Moments before this photo, I watched two decades of dreams converge.
At the interview, Stuart, humble yet confident, presented his documents to Dr. Peter. My heart swelled as Peter asked Stuart if he could begin on Monday.
Then came this moment—Stuart meeting his first students. These two young men represent the ripple effect. With Stuart and Dr. Peter as role models, they too will overcome obstacles and one day mentor others. The Mustard Seed grows, providing shade and shelter for generations to come.
