Gallery 7: Birding Paradise in Uganda

Uganda is a birding paradise with over 1,000 species identified. The secret lies in the great diversity of habitats and the fact that Uganda attracts both East and West African birds. This pair of grey crowned cranes forages in the wetlands. As the national bird of Uganda, they are protected, and can be seen in large dancing assemblies during breeding season.
